Michael Letson specializes in performance improvement; helping clients enhance their internal processes to increase profitability. A former sales and operations executive, Michael has a wide range of expertise in all aspects of supply chain development, including planning, purchasing, quality, inventory, assembly, testing, shipping and receiving. He is a Six Sigma Black Belt; is Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) by the Association for Operations Management (APICS) and is a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO). “Utilizing my skills to help companies and individuals improve themselves” is what Michael enjoys most about advising his SBDC clients. In addition to working with the SBDC, Michael teaches courses in Lean Six Sigma for organizations including Chaffey College, PDC Glendale and the San Fernando Valley Chapter of APICS, of which he is also Director. A former Combat Engineer Officer and Aviation Officer in the U.S. Army, Michael is a licensed commercial helicopter pilot. He is VP of Membership at the Southern California Chapter of the Army Aviation Association of America. Michael has a B.S. in Biology from Daemen College in Amherst, New York. He joined the SBDC team at College of the Canyons in 2015.
